"Dear Sara,

Thank you very much for all the hard work you have put into the mediation sessions that A and I have had with you. I have been very impressed by your diplomacy, patience, good common sense and obvious genuine desire to help.

Personally I am very happy with the result. The three sessions have enabled me to grasp a lot of the more subtle elements of the situation and gain an understanding of how best to deal with them. This is something I could never have got through solicitors. Also the practical work of assessing and agreeing on assets and liabilities is something that would have taken an age of toing and froing with solicitors and cost a fortune.

I'm off to see Mrs. R, my solicitor, this morning and will forward all the documents you have prepared to her when they are ready. I have enclosed a copy of the valuation report for property 2.

We exchanged contracts on our property on Tuesday - thank goodness.
